MORE DETAILS ON SINGING WINDS
“Singing Winds” is our (2019 Saba 50, with a 5 cabin, 5 heads lay-out. This yacht is perfect for large groups up to 10 guests. She is available for charter in the BVI from December 2020.
The Saba 50 has the same excellent optimization of space and weight as the highly successful sistership, Helia 44. It is quite simply a beautiful sailing catamaran that sails remarkably well. Performance is one of the things that people who own or charter the Saba 50 rave about. Under the right conditions, you can easily achieve 9-11 knots while sailing, and may even be able to push above 14 knots with the right wind. This is surprising considering the size of the vessel, but this is where that lightweight construction comes into play.
Measuring 49.15 feet in length, the Saba 50 is a practical size — large enough to offer roomy accommodations, but not so large as to sacrifice maneuverability and handling. The boat includes fixed keels and fine entry hulls, both of which contribute to ease of handling. The vessel is also lightweight, thanks to the vacuum-bagged PVC-foam-core laminate used in the construction. The deck and cabin have been sprayed with gelcoat and produced through Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), which gives every surface an elegant, polished look.
With the new Saba 50, Fountaine Pajot has optimized livability and comfort both inside and out. Singing Winds has a generator and is fully air-conditioned for your comfort. The “flybridge” has three sun lounges and an additional settee to seat six people comfortable. The view is fantastic, and everyone can converse with the captain without getting in the way, because the separate helm is two steps down to starboard.

“We chartered Singing Winds for 10 days for my partners 40th birthday. On the boat were two couples who are seasoned boaters and 3 passengers. We own our own boats and have charted around the world. Whenever we have chartered it’s always catamarans and new ones. We all agreed Singing Winds was the nicest. The design is great aesthetically and with the multiple living spaces. We used all the living spaces as we had some rainy days as well as sunny ones. The features from water makers, TV, ice makers though to the water purifier were a great touch. She’s a beauty. The sail size is great especially the main. We sailed a lot. The BVI Yacht Charters team take great care and pride in her. She was beautifully presented. When we returned the team checked everything was good as if it was their own boat. While also ensuring we had a great time. We had 7 on the boat and we all loved her and the amazing BVI’s.” – June 2021, Singing Winds
