Montyvideo (Monty-vi-day-O) is the last of a rare breed of nimble, performance catamarans. Fountaine Pajot has refined the legendary Mahe 36 over the years – an evolution of pure control and comfort. Montyvideo is quick, spry on a tack and a breeze to handle short handed. With her generous two cabins/two head configuration, the Mahe 36 is perfect for one or two couples, a single family or monohull sailors looking to experience two hulls. The efficient, well-fitted bridge has dual seating at the helm station and all control lines are within easy reach.

Integrated fittings on deck make onboard movement easier and virtually obstruction free. The cockpit, fully protected by a rigid bimini, has a table with seating for six – a great place for dining and enjoying a well-earned sunset. The saloon has a 360-degree panoramic view, a large square dining table with comfortable seating that accommodates six. If needed, the table converts to form a double bed. The galley on the Mahe 36 is well equipped with plenty of storage around a three burner stove, oven, double sink, under-counter fridge and – if you’re craving ice-cream in paradise – a separate upright freezer.

Each hull of the Mahe 36 contains a bright, oversized double cabin. Relax with a good book in private, cozy comfort – fans and intuitive LED lights are at your fingertips. A wide passageway with hanging lockers and plenty of shelves leads to the bow where you’ll find a Queen Mary-sized bathroom with standup shower, as big as those in a boat 10 feet larger. Montyvideo isn’t your average Mahe 36. She’s loaded with customizations & eco-friendliness. At the marina, your charter can begin cool and dry with shoreside air-conditioning. On the hook, the light & airy custom three hatch cabins are perfect for sleepy-time stargazing and tradewind comfort. On hot nights switch on nature’s A/C with the provided breeze boosters. Nature also provides the power with 360W of solar – keep those diesel-fumed, battery-charging sunsets to a minimum. The cockpit is equipped with a clean-burning gas grill so the char stays on the steaks and not in the ocean. Finally, Monty’s light & agile maneuverability can have her under sail when other cats are motoring.
