The Fountaine Pajot 44 (FP44) is a brand new model just launched. It is designed to prioritize comfort, contemporary styling, and generous social areas, making it well suited for family or friends. The FP 44 offers greater interior volume along with several updated features, including a semi-raised helm station that improves visibility, expanded solar-power capacity, and dependable sailing performance in moderate conditions.
Key Features and Highlights
Design and Layout:
The FP44 emphasizes an “indoor–outdoor” living concept, with large openings between the saloon and cockpit that create a continuous social space. The interior layout provides 4 roomy cabins each with a private head and shower and practical living areas.
Performance:
The catamaran is designed for smooth, predictable sailing that favors comfort over aggressive speed. It handles well on longer passages and is suitable for short-handed crews, typically sailing at moderate cruising speeds in the mid- to upper-single-digit range.
Deck and Social Areas:
The deck layout encourages relaxation and socializing, with a three-seat helm station, a spacious cockpit for dining or lounging, and a forward lounge area featuring adjustable backrests.
