I am writing this testimonial four months after our amazing trip in BVI because we are still talking about it and wishing we were back on the boat with our fabulous crew. Booking what would be a trip of a lifetime for us was daunting and I spent a lot of time researching and asking around to find the best way to book a charter. We landed on BVI Yacht Charters after looking at a few other places online and getting this recommendation from a trusted friend. We could tell Abbie had the experience and knowledge about different boats and what we were trying to achieve that she provided the right options for us. Abbie was great to communicate with and always answered our questions throughout our booking. When a wrinkle came up regarding boats and crew, she put us at ease and made sure we were still on the right track. It was a leap of faith for us, and Abbie could not have been more right. Her obvious knowledge of their available fleet and of the process overall, guided us to the best trip ever. We are grateful for Abbie’s help. We had an amazing time on the Deborah Anne. The boat was perfect. Extremely comfortable with modern amenities and well maintained. It was perfect for our family of four. We could not have been more impressed with our crew. Jorga was our chef, but I would title her more a Culinary Wizard than a chef. She managed the kitchen with precision and skill. I am not sure what impressed me more, the amazing food she created for us daily or how well she had everything scheduled, prepared and managed with such experience that she made it appear seamless to cook gourmet meals in the middle of the ocean. As evidenced by the extra 10-15 pounds I carry around daily, I enjoy eating, and like to think I know what good food tastes like. Our family continues to remark how every meal Jorga created for us was delicious. We do our best to recreate a few of her treasures now at home. Jake was our captain and managed the boat with experience, skill and care. I say “care” because if I was the owner of the boat, I would love to know that my captain was treating this investment like his own, ensuring we were safely moored each day, following proper protocol (like I even know what that is) and always making sure we were having a great time. Jake kept us on schedule while being attentive and catering the trip to our goals to make it the best trip ever. He was able to work our route with local dive companies to coordinate meeting points for our dive trips (that we scheduled), recommend on-land dining and site seeing options, and overall make sure the trip went smoothly – he made it look easy; always a calm demeaner rooted from experience and knowledge of the sea. Not to mention always being ready to take us on another adventure or get the kids out to water ski - which our teenage boys loved. I am not doing our crew justice as there is so much more to say. Not only are Jorga and Jake true experts in their field, but they are wonderful people of utmost character. They are professional, fun and such a joy to be with. We truly had an amazing time with them and we thank Jorga, Jake and Abbie for truly helping us create memories of a lifetime. Stop reading this and book your trip today.
