Authorization for Insurance Deductible

Step 1 – Credit Card Authorization

The yacht insurance you purchased with your booking carries a deductible of between $1500 and $3500 depending on the size of your yacht.

If your yacht is 39ft or under, your deductible is $1500.
If your yacht is between 40ft – to 46ft, your deductible is $2500.
If you yacht is 46ft or over, your deductible is $3500.

This is the maximum amount that you will be responsible for in the event of any damages. A pre-authorization will be placed on your Visa or MasterCard the morning your charter is scheduled to begin. This will automatically be released at the end of your trip.

The deductible will only be charged in the event of damages.

We only accept Visa or MasterCard, please be sure to bring your card with you.

DAMAGE INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:

Wrapping a Line in the Prop
Hitting a Reef or Rock
Loss of Any Boat Equipment

Hitting a Dock
Hitting Another Vessel
Touching Bottom

Any Gel Coat Scratches
Being Hit by Another Vessel
Damage to the Dinghy

I authorize BVI Yacht Charters to charge the above card for any damages to the vessel, including but not limited to, those listed above, up to the maximum value of the damage deductible listed in my contract.
- I authorize BVI Yacht Charters to charge any damages not covered by insurance.
Other Expenses*
I authorize BVI Yacht Charters to charge the above card at the end of my charter for any additional expenses incurred during my charter, including but not limited to fuel, ice, propane, merchandise & watersports. I understand that these costs are in addition to any damages, and are not included under the damage deposit.
